Wow! That's remarkable! Is it worth going for the Guinness Book of Records?

Hi Gary,

...here is a little film.....DB 44 690 is just before her new trial.....I wonder any of you can tell how many passenger cars there are behind HER....
I do not wish to make your job difficult...here comes two clues....
1- the number is over 100
2-the better contacts you have with Maerklin, the higher chances you have...

Whatever the number of coaches (+/- 1) this is simply wonderful.
First of all, you had a lot of fun with your friends, and that counts more than *any* records!
I have always said this BR 44 was probably the best Märklin puller ever build, and your test proves it "abundantly"!
BTW, I like the way you create large radius curves with the M-track "flex-rail" feature
"Necessity is the mother of invention" (was it Robinson Crusoe?)
I have however some news for you: two of my BR 44 have been converted to digital with 5 poles motors...and they pull even better than my analog ones!
Cheers and thank you again for sharing the moment!
(PS: I'll have to make the Istanbul run on the VSOE...one day!)

Hi Jacques,
Thank you for the interest a lot...
Please alow me make two things clear: I have always preferred the word 'trial' to 'record'. and I do not remember saying that analog engines pull
better than digital ones.
Cheers,
mehmet
ps: Please remember to find some room for your precious 5-star digital BR 44 beauties on the Orient...who knows we might give them a quick trial....

*That* sounds like a plan...however I'd prefer to have it powered by a digital unit: the "Blue trafos" are somewhat incompatible...

Utkan, the guiness book of records has the 31 loco with the 1500 odd carriages as per below
http://www.guinnessworld...ds/1/longest-model-train
So mate, I would submit you video for the record of one locomotive and 110 carriages as with those stats, imagine what you would achieve with 31 locos
