Hi!
I´ve got a Märklin Br 212 v100 loco from Feuerwehrkit.
I´d like to make it a Railion loco.
Does anyone know where to get this sign/decals from Railion that will fit the loco?

Thanx Hemmerich for the perfect information. I´ve been searching this for a while.
Wich type of paint should I use to overpaint?
Happy Eastern!

I was just reading in one of the German language Forums that Railion in several countries is being renamed DB Schenker Rail Services.
If true, this would confirm my feeling that "Railion' was designed as a temporary moniker designed to smooth over the expansion of German DB Cargo (Stinnes) into NL, DK, CH, AT, IT, etc.
Will this have any impact on livery/inscriptions on trains in the near future?

Regards

Mike C

Not at all. Railion is the name of the merger between NS Cargo, DB Cargo and later DSB Gods. There is no sneaky cover-up. :-)

Yes. The trains will have their Railion logos removed and have either the plain "DB" logo or the "DB Schenker" logo. Some freight cars are already carrying the DB Schenker logo. I have seen some of them in Kolding (Denmark) recently. :-)

You might want to "overpaint" the white script "Feuerwehr" in advance (RAL3020, available from various suppliers, also from Märklin).

Why overpaint it? I usually use Micro Set from Microscale Industries Inc. It will remove the lettering as easy as nothing.

When the transfers are in place, I use Micro Sol to remove the transfer film from the decal. When it is done, the only thing left is the lettering. Very easy to use.

You can see it in action here:

I'm going to resurrect this string and see what new information there might be out there. I would like to find some DB Schenker (or even some Railion to mix in) decals for some of my very plain rolling stock, as well as any freight car numbering decals. Anyone have any suggestions?

ModellBahnDecals is a good website.

Make sure you indicate the 1:87 scale for HO, you want.

I painted my green marklin re4/4 and 3 coach cars to orange/white livery and needed the decals, which Andreas provided.

Hope this helps.

I'll give them a try. I really want to do something with my tippers, now that they have coal loads I'd like some kind of labelling on them.

How much did they charge you for shipping to the US?
