Does anyone know if it would be harmful for an SDS motor if you connect it to some type of power backup easy capacitor on +Ub/GND?

I install them on others without any problems so...

This installation has a buffer capacitor installed.

I gave it a try with 1000uF 25V capacitor, but it doesn’t seem like the LED stays on for longer Mellow

The sound module was connected here for39894Br189 with LokPilot V3.0 M4 decoder.

I tried with a 2200uF 25V and connected an LED directly on capacitor, and it lights up when the power is cut but not the locomotive.

So, the conclusion is that the capacitor doesn’t function with the standard SDS configuration when the GND (-) is connected directly to the engine Huh

It turned into a slightly simpler solution by using a direct cable LOL

If you are connecting it directly to the chassis of the loco, no that will not work.

I don't follow you, doesn't ground with chassi...

Follow the connection line as it goes into the connection for the SDS engine.

This link has an interesting article, so fischer-modell.de can maybe be the solution...
