I am looking into advice to cut into C-track.

I am using the longer switches like 24711 and 24720 and would like to connect them directly into eachother.
This cause I do not have alot of space in dept for my railway.

Have people done this before to connect other tracks directly?
What angles should I use to make the cuts? (or should I follow the pieces that you can connect to 24071?)
What tool is recommanded to cut the rails?
