Hi everyone, I'm having a friendly discussion with my friend regarding Events vs Traincontroller.

He uses Events and I'm using TC. I've tried to use events however it's been a long time since I did computing programming in Fortran 4 and why write a program when you can buy a complete program and just insert the relevant information ? Has anyone had success using events ? I've watched some videos on the subject on YouTube, however it seems like a lot of trial and error getting the basic steps functioning correctly.

Regards
Greg
Take it easy . . . . or any other way you can get it !!!!

Events on a CS3 are easy to use. Marklin produce a book (sorry dont have mine to hand at present) which gives information required. You dont write programmes just insert the information into the event. Add a loco plus turnouts etc. You can adjust speeds easily and add signals. I expect most owning a CS3 will use events as it avoids other software and is easy to use.
Can be fun setting it up and mistakes can just be deleted.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

I use events and macros on the CS3, they work fine for me. Märklin book or the YouTube channel https://youtube.com/@modeltrainfun?si=n6W9MDKayYVjGU_0

Will provide you with everything you need.

Once you have all setup is very rewarding.
