[I have tried to program my m84's on dcc and when I try to reset the m84 by changing the box 8 to address 8 my m84 clicks twice and reverts back to 131. Can anyone help me as to how I change this to 8 so that the counter works. The way I was doing it was by first putting dip up and and 1 & 2 as I was setting the address to 9 for my article on dcc mode. Then I would open the triangle and press the tab so that I could get to the list. I would then select number 8 which reads 131 address and change that to 8 to reset the m84. Once I press ol the m84 clicks twice and instead of staying at 8 it reverts to 131 again. I have reset my cs3+ twice to default setting and I have the latest updates. I have three m84s and it does this on all three m84s. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks

Or else can some please guide me as to how i can program my m84s using marklin motorola mode if it is easier please as I do not know how to do it.

Hi Alfred
Here is the little I know:
- in the Märklin world, with a CS3 or CS2, the CV 8 is the decoder manufacturer's ID, for Märklin, this ID is 131
- the same CV 8 is used to reset the decoder to its factory status by WRITING 8 into it in MM2, DCC or MFX format but it will always read the manufacturer's ID (131)
- looking closely into the m84 (60842) manual Märklin confirms that by writing 8 into CV 8, it resets the m84 without mentioning if ALL previous values in many CVs are also reset.

So chances are your m84 is reset the best it could BUT you may want to verify dome CVs in case of anormal behaviour

Cheers
Jean

Thanks for your information. Even if the m84 resets using the 131 number the counter does not countdown and therefore it doesn't allow me to change the settings so that I can use my viessmann 4 aspect signals on the m84.
.thanks once again
