Hi.

Sorry to barge in to your forums!

I have a small collection of old parts of my train set from 35yrs ish ago that I have recently come across that were stored at least 30 yrs ago.

Some engines, carriages and trucks, various scenery and figures but I think the 3 faller buildings shouldn’t be binned as they are clearly high quality items which would benefit best in the hands of someone that knows what they are doing.

Model numbers are : 111, 239, 274. A station, house and church.

If anyone is interested or can point me to a more suitable forum I would be grateful.

I can send images of course if required.

Thanks in advance.

J Gill

Jimbo,

Welcome!

We do have a "Marketplace" on the main page for items for sale. You might post there also. Pictures are always welcome, as is an intro as to how you had been into model rails, even from long ago! Always good to meet new folks!

Hello Jimbo,

Welcome to the forum.

Faller #111, #239 and #274 are early wood and cardboard models from 1952-1960, also known as 'Fertigmodelle', made by homeworkers in and around Faller's hometown Gütenbach.
After 65 years the Griessputz on the walls of these models, is often in poor condition and need semi-professional restoration.

There are hobbyists who collect these early Faller models.
I had a few of these early Fertigmodelle too, but now my main focus are the plastic kits from the 60s and early 70s.

Have you tried selling them on ebay ?

You can also list them in the marketplace corner of the forum.

Marco
