Perhaps while anxiously awaiting another potential delay ... perhaps we can enjoy the picture of the more square shaped decoder that has been added to the 74467 description. (The triangular shaped one clearly was a placeholder; at the time of writing it is still present)

New September delivery dates show the double slip and its decoder in October but those interested in the lantern have to wait till November. I'm sure there is a far more complex reason as to why but to me surely the lantern is the easiest part to make and thus it should be available from the same time as the rest of the product line

Christmas may infact not be ruined a second time? As the 24720 is now showing as: Quote: Article temporarily not in stock. Check with your local dealer
With other products IMHO this means the first batch(es) are being sent out to dealers. ref: https://www.marklin.com/...ts/details/article/24720

The Store Loco (39299) and wagon (47165) are still on for October, but the Leonard Weiss loco (39296) has been pushed out to 2025 (was in the previous list as well). Looks like all the G1 Wismar railbus' are pushed out to 2025. As are the 100VA power supplies. Z gauge seems to get off quite lightly, with only two items listed as 2025.

Our tax refund was deposited Wednesday so looking forward to getting the #38463 around the winter holidays. Surprised that the sum was better than last year. I thought we'd take a bigger hit due to retiring after a job severance payout which was sizable. Apparently a retirement incentive is taxed differently than a severance. At least for 2024.. Hoping the tax rates for seniors living on their annuity, IRA, pensions and social security don't increase.

I’ve been eying the 38462, would like to pre-order one but I’m worried about all these tariff threats floating around. By the time Marklin ships these trains to the North American market, there could be a 25% tariff on them, since I’m in Canada, I could order from a German dealer but in the end it would cost me more anyways. I’m waiting for the 39276 to arrive and I’m hoping it will be soon given the threat of tariffs coming in on the EU. I pre-ordered it back in September from my dealer in Canada and it’s rather annoying how Märklin can never get something out the door on schedule cause if it comes next month, there could be tariffs applied.

Maybe a bit off topic, but would Canada be implicated by tariffs from Europe? AFAIK Europe has no issue with Canada at all. On the contrary, you are our allies in the fight with the US. Only the US should be implicated to retaliate on their silly tariffs. I assume Europe and Canada will make trade agreements to avoid tariffs.

Where it could be an issue is when buying from Canadian dealers because Marklin ships all products to Marklin USA and they distribute to all dealers in the USA and Canada. So if tariffs are slapped on the EU by the USA, it will affect us in Canada. I know my dealer is very concerned about this, he told me it could shut him down.

Doesn't a pre-order guarantee the price is locked in per introduction date of 2024? I have saved the dealer page from the website with the preorder price. If it increases too much then I don't know what I will do. I didn't vote for tariffs and may not pay. History has proven that they don't benefit anyone long term. Especially in a global economy.

I’m not sure what would happen in the case of pre-ordering and down the road tariffs are slapped on the product. My dealer will honor the pre-order price, as a matter of fact, he just increased the price of the 39276 by $20 but that won’t affect me but tariffs are a different story cause the increase would be substantial. I know if the price goes up by a significant amount, he will no longer guarantee the price, which is understandable cause it would break him if he had to absorb those increases. These tariff wars are stupid, in the end it’s always the average person he gets hurt the most.
