This poor old locomotive - I’m looking for a couple replacement idler gears.

From my memories of my Dad servicing these when I was young the gear teeth get very worn on all the gears. Replacing just one gear may not sort out whatever problems you have that is ccausing you to want to replace this one.

And putting a new gear in mesh with old worn gears will accelerate further wear. I have found with the old locos of that vintage, replacing all the gears, the armature, and the driving wheels results in a beautiful running loco. If you are struggling to find gears, try Ritter restorations. Cheers… Mike
