Hello , both recent purchases the 79966 ran fine on my Marklin C-Track test track but would constantly stall on my K-Track which was resolved by 'stretching" the pick up shoe. Have run both in on my test track and once reasonably speed matched now running on my layout however still showing abnormal jerky running particularly the 79798 "Lokomotion". I have noticed on both locomotive's that CV2 has had to be very high to get a consistent low speed @ speed step 1 of a scale speed of 4 kmh (RZ Tech Speedbox). My other Roco Locomotives usually CV2 set around 20 but these latest are around 45 which as I am running a maximum speed of 100 kmh I suspect has narrowed the speed table to low or they both need a little bit longer to "free up" in there gearboxes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Richard.

Do you have BEMF turned off on these locos? That can have this effect.

Hi CV58 set to 255 tried it at 220 made it worse reset it back to 255. Both previous Roco locomotives had the MX645P22 decoders which seem a lot more user friendly to program, these two have the MS450P22 which does not seem to be as friendly in my opinion. Also tried CV57 the Ref Voltage default 140 (Marklin CS3) tried it at 170 which seemed to improve low speed running but still quite jerky running through the 28/126 speed steps.

Odd for a Zimo equipped Roco to run poorly. My 78749 has excellent slow speed running out of the box. Gradient control is also great. So is coasting and braking. However it's a br 218 diesel, not a Vectron which is likely geared to higher speed. I use a CS3.

Update the 79966 now seems to have settled down by increasing CV56 from default 33 to 63. The 79798 has now lost complete drive although sound and lights still operating. Disappointing to say the least.

Hi,I have a number of Roco locos including a couple Vectrons. The zimo decoders have always been reliable and have had to do very little with adjusting the running characteristics.I have a large K track layout(6.0 x5.8)metres and 40 locos.I do use an. EcOS command station for running however at19v,no boosters.
