Hi all,
Can anyone advise when the DB changed passenger coach lighting from the old yellow lighting to the new flouro lighting that the warm white led represents? Also, does anyone know of older coaches such as schürzenwagens had the lights replaced, or did the continue with the old style yellow lights through Tera 3?
Thanks in advance.
Mike

Thanks Tom,
I guess the 12 ESU yellow light kits I have may have been a mistake! Would be nice if I could use them on the schürzenwagens.
Cheers….

The interior lights interact with the colour of the interior. Make a test with one of them. If it has the light-brown interiors then maybe the yellow lights will look quite good. Lights should not be too bright for a Schürzenwagen IMHO. |

I will have to order a few warm white kits for the era 3 commuter trains and d-zug trains.
I’ll try the yellow in the schurzenwagen and see how I get on.
While on the subject of lighting and interiors, do you have any photos of the inside of silberlinge sand mitteleinsteigwagen in the area behind the control cab?
Cheers…..

Mike As Tom (H0) said, the yellow tends to look like gas lighting, so would be used in very old coaches. But I reckon the warm white is supposed to be tungsten lamps, and the cool white represent fluorescent lamps.
