I have that many shelves loaded with trains, and all the boxes from them, and or Kits. Also in roll out storage under my layout, and a chest of 5 drawers

Oh, ok Alan. 4 motors moving the skaters in opposing directions around a spinning center axis like a carnival ride, but slower. Sort of a sqaure dance.

On the left side of the rink in the middle, that gizmo is active

Well, that scene is certainly not from the year 2020!

I have never found stretchy beading string that isn't visible for hanging a baloon, plane, or helicopter.

No, it's just a slightly thicker thread It remains to install lighting and reflectors The crane has 895 parts! Of course, all this has a price of 399 euros (in Germany) More information is at the link The crane will be placed on a new part of the layout

Today I visited them again and asked how the crane works? The answer was No way! It is a question of bad, fragile plastic at many critical points of transport, the parts are made exactly according to the scale, but then they cannot take all the forces that occur when starting, winding on pulleys, etc. The management itself is very clumsy because you have to connect directly to the faller and that every time anew? There are no stops to stop the engine, so you have to be very careful. The crane will only serve as a very expensive decoration! Advent starts tomorrow, so everything is beautifully decorated From tomorrow it is open every day except Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00 It wasn't crowded yet today

When I was visiting, I asked where the crane was, how did it work? The answer was: It absolutely does not work, it is just an expensive toy to look at! All moving parts are to scale and made of poor quality plastic that is brittle and breaks easily under pressure. For example, with a large pulley on which 4 ropes are wound, they become entangled when winding or unwinding and the upper part is bent. There is no limiter/sensor for moving parts, so it comes to the end of the track. The management software is downloaded from the Faller site, where you have to stay the whole time and log in again every time after a break. The crane can be used for occasional and very careful play, but it is certainly not suitable for frequent use. These are difficult words spoken to me by a man who spent two weeks patiently and carefully assembling this crane, in order to ultimately disappointed. For the crane, you need to buy a drive separately, which means another 370 euros less in your pocket or bill, plus 400 for plastic! Motors with a reducer that are in the picture can be obtained from the Chinese for a couple of euros, the electronics for their control costs about the same, and then with a little software it is sold for 370 euros! The plastic for the crane does not cost much, although the injection molds are very expensive, but on a larger batch you can really make money from the price of 400 euros (I see that they have now lowered it to 340)

2 weeks later Helix has exits on 3 levels The trains run smoothly and turn around, but they also go to the next room It will turn here as well, and from the upper level it will go even further Murphy hid in a tunnel Trains pass through that tunnel a hundred times a day, and then suddenly a locomotive jumped out of it She chose a place that is difficult to reach from the outside but also inside the hill from below Somehow she was pushed out, and then we looked at why she jumped out, but nothing was discovered? After that, it was driven back and forth on that spot a lot for a test drive and everything was fine...Murphy left

Unfortunately I have to announce that the layout is about to close? Mr. Urbic (Backo) is sick and can no longer be with the layout every day. Another reason is finances, the visit is not enough to cover all the overhead costs as well as the salaries of at least 3 employees. Backo paid for the purchase of models and equipment out of his own pocket, and these were large sums. He publicly announced that he is willing to rent the space and layout to someone who would continue his work, but I'm afraid that there is no one who would be willing to do that, because in addition to familiarity, he should also have plenty of free funds for that? I have some more pictures and videos that I will occasionally post here.

Sorry to hear that borna. Young people may not have enough time to dedicate as they are busy with school and careers. They also don't have expendable income usually.

12 years have passed since the opening, which was preceded by another year of initial works. In total, about 10 people changed in the team, some started without any knowledge and ended up as excellent modellers. Layout had a little help from the city authorities, mostly for increased work during Advent, but it was too little to help. New models from the store will be sold for half the price, and used ones from the layout for a third or even less. If someone were to take over the business, they should have a powerful and reliable sponsor because, as I have already stated, tickets cannot even cover basic costs except occasionally. Their price should be at least twice as high, but then the visit would be less, so nothing would be gained.
