My Fleischmann 6652 turntable motor is dead. It was working ok and it suddenly stopped. I don't know why it happened as I did 2 things at the same time: 1- Changed the AC control voltage to a bit more than 16.5V rms and before it was in 14V rms 2- Previously I had lifted it up and put it back in place, so maybe some part was not in place and blocked the rotation
Maybe both at the same time end the life of the motor, or just age...
I disassemble the mechanism to see and test the motor and it was difficult to disassemble and a nightmare to reassemble. I ordered a motor from SB Moldelbau and will replace the old one. I expect it to do much less noise than the original one. I will keep you posted about this. I was thinking in buy the new turntable as it has already a decoder and sound, plus more light effects, but the bridge length of the new turntable seems a bit too short for BR45, the BR 06 and few others.

Range Roves are/were built tough, so I don't excuse catatsrophic engine failure in lower mileage scope. It seems every makes (except Lexus/Toyota) line of 32 valve V8's suffer from camshaft timing belt/chain or phaser wear/failure around 80-100 Km. If the parts are replaced in time before they snap, engine damage can be prevented. At least with the unit body on seperate perimeter frame design of the LR, body lift off is possible.

Hello, the SB-modellbau motor arrived today. Carrier was DHL and the service was good. Instructions are in German language and have some images. I hope the translator will do a good job! I am a bit busy at least during the next 2 weeks, the replacement will have to wait until I have some time.
