Hi, I own a Märklin 4056 TEE coach that is in a very good status but it is of the series that the inner was empty, so, no inner seats on it.

At the same time I have the opportunity of getting a Märklin 4086 TEE coach, same than 4056 but WITH the inner seats on it. Problem is that it is in an external very bad shape, and thus, very cheap.

My idea is to take the inner block of seats of the 4086 out of it and put it in the 4056.

Questions are: Is it possible?, is there an easy way of taking off the block of inner seats of the 4086 to put them in the 4056? Any idea of how to do it?

Thanks for any help.

Regards

Is this the tinplate one? iEither that or plastic, f they are equal length, should be no problem. One may have first class compartment glazing, and one open seating, but that can also fit. My version is factory lit.

Hi, both of them are the metal ones 1st class with a central corridor, not compartment. And both 4056 and 4086 are 24cm (9 1/2 inch) length

Question: is it easy to take out from one (4086) and put in the other (4056)?, how to do it?

Regards.

You have to remove the bottoms. I think bend the fastening tabs upward so they drop off. Opposite how the factory assembled them. Ohterwise, you'd have to cut the top metal to lift out the interiors. Remove the breezway ends first. Then the trucks. there are C snap washers holding them on.
