I have several locomotives that I do not have the model number for. Is there a recommended way of identifying the locomotive.

I am looking for a web database or reference site where I could look up either serial numbers or other information to find the exact model number.

Any help would be appreciated (as always)

Hi Michael.

I know three useful websites:

1) This one has models sorted by prototype (unfortunately it is not updated! [:(]): http://www.hfkern.gmxhome.de/

2) The second has models sorted by Marklin catalog number: http://www.modellbahnboerse.org/info.htm

3) The third one: if you can't find all your moddels in these sites, post a picture in marklin-users.net and someone will tell you biggrin
