Does anyone have a current address for downloadable Marklin .wav files? There are some listed but all are for pages that have been discontinued. Searching on the Marklin site for .wav produces no result.

Load the Marklin programmer program, and it will download the available libraries, along with any of the Marklin projects that are available.

One's I downloaded from Marklin only work in CS, not standalone player. Some sort of encrypted sound files.
Digital M (+ some K) track layout with mostly vintage rolling stock and accessories, and small Z scale layout.

Oh, you mean you don't want Marklin files.

The Marklin ones have always been encrypted as are the ESU ones, and every other decoder manufacturer that I am aware of.

I should have been more specific. I want to play some sounds through a CS3 and a speaker system. Our club shows a large layout at a number of shows and the crowd noise pretty much overwhelms the loco sounds. So I thought to augment the loco sounds with station sounds through a speaker system. The CS3 can play sounds as part of an event but I need to find the sounds to play. Where are they located? Can i download them into a thumb drive or other storage?

hi
The CS3 can play märklin protected sound files.
to get to the wav files, unzip the files from the links I posted above, or take any märkllin sound project and unzip it, eg with the windows built-in program, 7-Zip winrar etc.
copy the files you want onto a USB/SD, and into a wav subfolder under the CS3 folder.
