I would like to know if the Schönwitz MbS-51279 (or 51280, 51281 and 51286) cable - 0,25 mm2 - is compatible with the Märklin 71411 (or 71412, 71414, 71415 and 71416) plugs.

I would expect it to be fine, it is similar gauge to what Marklin uses, so will fit the plugs and sockets fine.

0.25mm² is not a lot if you have a run of more than a few metres. Use a voltage drop calculator and remember it is the total length of both wires to calculate the resistance.

If you are using multiple runs for power it's not so bad.
