I've seen one which does when the magnet is waved over the battery. The second wave turns it off for led lighting.

This might be what you are looking for, they are called Magnetic reed switches. From what i have seen they are simple to install and easy to operate. Hope this has helped. https://cs.trains.com/mrr/f/744/t/202698.aspxFound this Photo on my PC hope this helps aswell. construct as shown in Photo, to operate use a earth magnet and wave it over the unit that is installed in carriage to activate the lights to turn off repeat wave.

Yes Pete! Thank's a million! Normally, the reed switches are only momentary contact. It must be a latching type reed switch. The other way is a motion sensor switch, which I located, but I don't what other component it nees in order to operate, and the ones I found were within a 10 to 100 gram shock/horizontal motion activation. The 5 gram one was normally closed as still.

Hi I may be wrong but seing my Faller car system and its tiny Reed contacts and small "adjust magnets" (163222) and liberation coils as on the Rolling road I wonder if this (bi-stable Reed functionality) cannot be obtained by adjusting a small piece of magnet next to a Reed contact so that it becomes bi-stable See here my Faller rollende Landstraße and its adjust magnet (on the truck), the stop-magnet on the truck-carrying car and its liberation coils under the track. This is a fine-tuned addition / substraction of magnetic fields which allows this functioning Cheers Jean |
