Hello! Could anyone help me? Today, I installed LED in my 28.2cm UIC-X car. (It doesn't have ground springs, so I used 73404 pick-up Shue +73401LED+72020 Current-conducting coupler). Installing was successfully, but I got a problem. When trying to attach the body and base, there is a gap and it cannot be undone. Would you please let me know if anyone knows how to fit it exactly? By the way, I am 50 yrs old, and I came back to Marklin last year. It is my younger days dream that V200(3021)/BR01(3048) tows the green 2nd class and blue 1st class passenger cars with lighting... Maybe, someone can imagine, great catalog pictures from the 1970s

Hi Moto,
It is possible that something is blocking the shell from completely fitting in place on the chassis. When installing lighting and current conducting couplers, you have to remove the metal plate above the coupling shaft and reinstall it. If it is not properly put back in place, it might not allow the shell to sit on the base. The lighting strips and the wiring can also prevent the shell from sitting fully on the chassis.
Can you post a photo of the model (with shell off) so I can see the connections and lighting strips? Can you also post a photo of the model with the shell on so that I can see the gap?
Remove the pins from the lighting strips and take out the lighting. Does the shell now sit correctly? As far as the metal plate, it should sit flat above the coupling shaft and the wire link from the lighting kit should go to the fixing mount. On the other end, the wire should go to the slider. Other wires should go to one or two axle contacts (ground). Once again, make sure that these wires are not applying pressure to the shell and preventing it from sitting properly on the frame.
Regards
Mike C

Thank you very much for DaleSchultz and mike C. I will post pictures. As you say, I think something is interfering. I checked my cables, but it seems they don't contact the body. Last post I missed my explanation. This time I use Seat LED of Viessmann. But another model, using Marklin 73400, is same situation. Thank you again your kindness. Moto P.S. As showing the last picture, if I apply pressure, both ends will be fixed...but the center will float.

https://www.marklin-user...rce.ashx?i=63966&b=1Looking at this photo, I can see that the metal plate is not properly positioned. This has to be securely in place so that it does not exercise upward pressure on the interior fittings. Pop it in and then push it forward until it securely locks in place. One other thing you may want to verify is whether the interior fitting is designed to be installed in one direction only. If you have a second such coach, make sure that the undercarriage and fittings are in the same configuration. Some models may not fit together if the interior is inserted in the wrong direction or the undercarriage is reversed. Regards Mike C

Thank you very much for your advice. Finally I was able to restore. I concluded that the car body was warped. (I guess from the window coming off.) The cause of the distortion may be due to the force applied. Anyway I was able to put the passenger car back on the rails. Thank very much again!
