Hi all, I hope this is the right sub forum to post and do apologize if not. I could not find a more suitable one as this technically is not an ad. Sorting through some old stuff, I found some Märklin trains that I got when I was a kid. I my best guess is that it's probably around 25-30 years old. I while I did and still do appreciate the quality and detail, I doubt I will use this again, so it's better someone else can enjoy it. My question is if this has any value due to it's age, or I can just give it away? Some parts were from "set-HO T1" (see picture) and some parts were bought separately from the same hobby store at the time. I made a small circle from some of the tracks and tested the locomotives quickly. The green locomotive does work fine, while the yellow makes an "electric" sound, the lights does light up, but it seems like the wheels are locked in place. There is a total of 10 straight tracks, 14 short curves and 6 long curves, 3 switches, all can be seen on the pictures. I hope a kind and knowledgeable person can give me some advice!

The T1 is an extension set to add to a starter set. The trains and transformer came with one of those. Compare asking auction bids on ebay, and Catawiki. I don't know if the trains came in different starter sets or not. I estimate the value to be that of a 3000 locomotive, and an analog br 212 switching diesel. The cars each about $10 to $20 U.S.
