... and India may never get it at all ! It is a royal pain to chase up on missed issues with Märklin !
I must say that Märklin is very prompt in getting your "mitgliedsbeitrag" !

Adrian , there's a few little things that like to buzz around the compost heap even in winter , no idea what they are called but much smaller than the dreaded mozzie. They leave a nasty bite that lasts longer than the mozzie bite but is about 1/4 of the mozzie bite . temperature tomorrow is forecast for 25c , looks like a early summer comming .

The #3 and #4/2021 Mailing will be sent together. We apologize for the delay….” End of Quote Nice, so we getting screwed on this side of the pond Märklin March / April issues in August maybe September. P.S. I won’t comment on it… ‘cause it maybe related to recent flooding in Germany. Sincerely, Märklineisenbahn

Hangon Ranjit don't panic, I think Jerry is referring to a possible email sent out by Marklin USA - which he would get given he's in New York, but we wouldn't get being outside of the US.

Hi Ranjit You also may receive newsletters from Märklin See here https://www.maerklin.de/en/service/newsletter/That way you are notified about all new items or possible registration for the limited edition model. Another way is to subscribe to a member registration (you have to pay and specify the language). See here https://www.maerklin.de/en/clubs/registration/If you ask for German, the Märklin Magazin is almost the double in size of the English version. Drawback: you receive all letters and catalogues in German INCLUDING the prices in Germany in Euros Cheers Jean |

Cheers, Ranjit Hi Ranjit, As Bigdaddynz wrote, that particular email in previous posts you are referring to was sent by Marklin USA to inform the North American market of Insider Club Issue delays. The US branch receives the printed material in bulk and redistributes them to the US and Canadian members. Cheers, Harold.

Thank you, David and Harold, for pointing this out.
Jean... the link that you sent me only has information about the newsletter and the Euro 5/- gutschein for signing up. However, there is no place to register !

Thank you for the German website links of Märklin, Jean.
I have now subscribed to the newsletter and I received a gutschein for Euro 5,00 ! Unfortunately, this gutschein is of no use to me even as a Märklin Insider Club member ! I end up having to pay German VAT (which is crazy), and on top of that, I have to pay an exorbitant shipping cost to India. The Märklin Online Sop is ideally suited for the Deutsche Modellbahner. It just doesn't make any sense for the rest of us.
Take care and stay safe.
Cheers, Ranjit

Both my Marklin and Trix 04/2021 arrived this morning.
Both are gushing about the VT92 501 model and accompanying coach set.
Interesting item for a couple of folk here ... there are a couple of coaches to go with the VSM Museum train, items 94536 and 94537 available at VSM.
I think I'll have to send an email ... they don't list them in their shop on the web page.

Did you buy your VSM Museum train set directly from the museum ?

Today must be a luck day for me ! Issue #04/21 arrived in perfect condition ! The package was not in tatters, it was dry and it did not have any dog ears ! Can all the issues be like this ? I doubt it.

Yes, mine arrived this week. Apart from the fact that the postie folded the package in half and jammed it in the opening when it would have fitted flat without any problem, it is in good condition. Working from home under what we call COVID Alert Level 4 since last week has been fine, apart from a few network capacity issues. Regards Glen

Hi Adrian , yes we are moving slightly east & a bit north probably about 15 kms. At the moment we are at the very top of Lake Macquarie with wonderful views over the lake from the top of the hill ,cant be built out , awesome house & a massive garage with 3.5 meter clearance ideal for a boat ,caravan or RV & a ideal train room 9.5 m long by 4.7 wide . We have brought off the plan a 2 apartment we have which we have been able to amalgamate which has a heap of potential for the future , removal of the kitchen & adjust a few walls all at no extra charge . This is right on the Hunter River & cant be flooded out when we get these east coast low storms . a walk to the shops & we are on the edge of the night life area . Now the BIG BUT , they have just started foundations for the group of apartments & probably not finished till late next year if we are lucky. so a lot of things will have to go into storage & we will have to find some short term rental till its finished . Do I hear of any offers for house sitting or a low priced holiday rental ? We will be able to watch all the shipping come & go full of beautiful ,high quality , low ash content Hunter Valley coal being exported overseas .
Cheers Tom in Oz .

Ah ha... I don't think that you North Mexicans are allowed over the border to beautiful banana bender land.. See if PJ can get you a temporary visa for the deep south.. Sad to see that you are downsizing, but I guess all that land gets hard to keep up as we get older. I have always wanted to live on a lake. Lars took us to a nice place in Sweden with houses on a modest lake - even in the frozen winter it looked fantastic. At least, you will be closer to the wineries now., |

Mee to! I was wondering if the insider magazines for Marklin were still being printed. It seems like they are promoting their other brand, or off brand, and not Maerklin. Regards, gene

I love Marklin but their treatment of us “foreigners” borders on afterthought. Or is it the same in Germany? Sure the pandemic has had an effect but it was like this before. Mid October and I have 3 of 6 publications and no club car. I read just now about the Insider Club Newsletter and Marklin Annual Chronicles Part 1 Film being available on the website under clubs but I can’t access them, my computer says “plug in blocked” and my iPad says “network connection was lost”. My dealer here and holder of my Insider account was unable to secure any of the fall release 88146 locos for us. Marklin's first come first serve policy makes their dealers here compete to serve their customers. Being in the Insider Club does not help to secure new releases at all. Being an Insider feels just like being an Outsider to me. Where’s the love Marklin? Edited by user 13 October 2021 16:44:55(UTC)

I live in France, agreed much closer to Märklin but we still have to wait a little compared with Germany. So today I still haven't receive my Märklin Insider October number (#5) and my ordered train (Rheinpfeil) has been postponed by one month. I don't know what your problem is accessing Märklin videos. No problem here. Sorry Truth is the world is still disturbed by Covid and its aftermath so patience is key. Cheers Jean |

Thank You. I was quite happy to get the video link working today, the download took a very long time but I have it now. Streaming was not working well. Regarding the "newsletter" I am having trouble even finding something called a newsletter on the club site. I can find the Insider Club news, but not newsletter. So it was the news PDF that I cannot download.

I received my final English Insider and Marklin Magazin today from Marklin USA - It was issue 3 (June/July) along with the Marklin and Trix Summer New Items brochures. There are always long delays for Canadian readers (I guess this holds for all of North America). I had enough of that and decided to try just receiving the Marklin Magazin directly from Germany. Fortunately, my German is good enough to read and understand that version. I've had the German issue 4 (August/September) since mid August. I'll probably renew the German Marklin Magazin version, I don't need the other Insider perks.
Cheers,
Harold.

5/2021 arrived today in the middle of a huge storm.. Soaked right through. Loaded the lot into the oven at 75C and managed to make a good recovery, but some of the MM pages are now falling out.. At least they are not stuck together..

Dragging the chain down here & way behind most other ozzys but my 05 / 2021 arrived late this arvo . Looks like some interesting items about to hit the shops & appear under the Christmas tree . We have 4 weeks to go 17/12 before we have to shove off from this massive house & then find we are homeless for at least 14 months while we travel around this great promised land called Australia & hoping that "M" will work out where to send the insiders magazine until we finish our trip & be able to take possession of our brand spanking new appartment on the waterfront of Newcastle . The joys of buying off the plan before they have even started sifting thru the soil etc that has made up the southern bank of the Hunter River where shipping uses the largest black coal terminal in the world with about 40 odd ships waiting for a load off the coast at the present time .
Cheers Tom in Oz with the start of summer just around the corner .

I sincerely hope you have better luck than this Aussie family who were rescued by helicopter 4 days after managing to get their "camper van" stuck in the Simpson Desert, South Australia. Anyway, best wishes on your great adventure and for your future life in your new home. Keith |

Loved the image Kieth, Mother Nature laughs at our attempts to tame her with technology (that's quite a capable "looking" rig!). Fourteen months of traveling the land sounds awesome, if you have your own accommodations and no other place to be... My recommendation is to get a Mini Club Christmas set for the road, it will fit nicely on the table of any RV ;) Still waiting for #4 in the USA.

I'm beginning to think the paper copies of the Insider Club News are going to disappear entirely in favor of digital offerings in short order.
