Hi All...
Finally, I receive 02/2020 and 03/2020 together in a Priority Mail. Yay!!
By the way, in the Insider Club Order Form, I see only two (2) items listed for 2020. One is the Catalog (Item #15712), and the Startup Club Annual Car (Item #47620). Why is the Insider Club Annual Car (Item #48170) not listed. What about the other Insider Club items?
Cheers,
Ranjit

I contacted US about the missing No.2 and they then contacted marklin. They then sent me an email saying sorry and another No.2 is on the way.

Yes, mine also arrived today.
Given the world-wide crisis that is COVID-19, I'm thankful it has made it to this part of the world.

Surprise Surprise One guess what was in my Letter box on my return from the dentist . Yep it was Issue 2 of 2020 with a slight water damage on the rear of the envelope , It hadn't seeped thru to the contents so all was well . After a quick look at the contents it looks like a reasonable day of reading considering the rain which is forecast .
Cheers Tom in Oz .

Mine arrived in perfect condition... The SA -> NSW -> QLD and Victoria order is interesting.. I wonder if it came by ship to WA and then trucked East? Does anyone from WA have the Insider News yet?

The Covid crisus has already caused Marklin to say there will NOT be a second model. I think it was announced in the Insider 03 magazine.

One small thing is that Marklin plans to announce a new insider 25 years HO wagon.
the current (44534) glass tank wagon is sold out, and they will not make more.
I hope Marklin will reconsider this, and make more of the 44534 instead of making a new wagon.

Yeah, doesn't excite me. In that blue it looks more like a Marklin Magazine collection wagon.
I guess this may make it more rare as people won't take up the offer ...

They sure know how to get your attention
Our cat would go into what I called 'civil disobedience mode' and do all sorts of things it knew we didn't like when he wasn't getting his way.
Oh, and my Marklin copy arrived last Thursday in the UK.

04/05 - 2020 arrived here today. Includes a copy of the Fall New Items 2020.
Now, back to mowing lawns - I left the mower out front while grabbing the Insider pack out of the mailbox, better go claim it before it gets nicked!

04/05 arrived today sometime between 1500 & 1700 . Found as I was putting out the garbage for collection tomorrow morning . Aust had a horse race called the Melbourne Cup which normally stops the nation but due to the big "C" there was no visitors allowed to the race track . so most people would have stopped work to view the proceedings on TV which would possibly explain the late delivery today .
Cheers Tom in Oz .

Unfortunately, I tried to download as with the first volume, but kept getting the German language version... even when streaming. I'll give it a few more days and try again.

The video is actually on the server, but the link is wrong.
Try open the link for the French video, and replace the FR with EN at the end of the link.

Hi Pete,
Login to the Marklin site:
https://www.maerklin.de/en
then: Clubs / Märklin Club
then: Then under the heading: My Club
choose Märklin Club - then a choice of headings appear underneath.
Choose: Club Film - A Year with Märklin
You'll find other videos from Märklin TV under My Club as well.
It's not as confusing as it sounds.
Good luck and enjoy!
Sid

Both my Marklin and Trix 06.2020 arrived in the UK today.
I had to smile at some of the "anecdotes from the Railroad" section, especially about the guy who used a 144.5 as his 'personal taxi' to get to work.
The one about 'whistling for drinks' also reminded me of a story from the railways in New Zealand.

OK, now unfold the leaflet about the new 2021 Insider model, and have a look at the coupling on the front of the loco. It seems to have had a hard life. ...

On the E44?
The main photo when you open out the leaflet looks OK even if it's a closeup.
The one on the front cover could appear at first look to have a dodgy coupling, but that's because of the perspective with hoses in behind and the pickup shoe underneath giving the impression of something weird going on.

I was looking at the spots of rust on the coupling.
It looks like they have used a coupling that has been lying around in a parts draw for an unknown length of time instead of a new one off the production line.

It could also be chromatic aberrations. If you look closely at the buffers and around the front windows, you can also see some color fringing on those areas. Chromatic aberrations vary with different lenses and can be stronger towards the edge of the frame/picture. and some might remain even after corrections are applied.

Yeah, OK, I'll give you that possibility. It just looked out of place with the large picture in front of me.
Interestingly in the Trix version it is the same picture but with the center studs photo-shopped out. Same with the Belgian loco picture (which must have taken some work seeing it is on K track and there are a pair of points in the left of the picture).

My pack arrived today
Looking at the photo on the front fold, the 'rust spots' do not appear on the buffers, so I would also put it down to the picture technology not quite working as well as intended.

My 06/2020 pack arrived today , Looks like a bit of a read tonight or tomorrow , I think this may be the first time that the UK & OZ & those couple of little islands a bit further east of Oz have received their company show off paper work so close together .
Cheers Tom in Oz.

Yes , my credit card was processed yesterday also , $146.43 for the year which isn't to bad . The house accountant had the idea it was going to be up close to THE $200 mark.
Cheers Tom in Oz.

Well, Marklin do seem to be on the ball this year ...
Because they don't need to attend the Toy Fair they have people able to send out the Insider postings ...
My 01/2021 Marklin mailing arrived this morning, along with a letter inviting me to register for my Covid Jab - but that came in a separate envelope
