Not really. I used a combination of paints and dry pigments.
I assembled the kit completely and then did a matt coat before weathering. This works OK and saves time if the base (plastic colour) doesn't need changing.
The gantry gear unit was assembled and airbrushed as it was very fiddly.

I have another one of these I don't need, just have to get around to listing it for sale.
