Can digital Marklin locomotives be operated with the simple Transfo power supply?(Transfo Marklin indeed)

sorry I thought the question was for analog, but you are asking about digital, so ignore my earlier answer.

Some digital decoders can handle analog power, but not all. So to really answer the question we would need to determine what decoder is in every one of your locomotives. If the locos are Märklin, and nobody has changed the decoder, the chances that they will operate with analog power is high, but not certain.

I am not sure what you mean by 11/5000

Are you referring to a Märklin model?

Hi Garoux
Welcome to the forum. A first name would be great
Attention, some digital decoders have been destroyed by reverse pulses coming from some Märklin transfos:
- the old blue transfos generally labelled 220 V, when used on 240 VAC
- a generation of decoders between 2000 and 2018
By all means, check that the reverse pulse voltage is not above 24 to 26 VAC
Yes the new decoders are specified for max 40 V but better safe than sorry
Cheers
Jean

Yes Indeed! I will put my first name (Alain) on my profil.
Thank you for your answer. It was usefull for me.
About the transfo. It is the transfo marklin ref 66471. Is it dangerous for digitals decoders?
Regards
Alain

Many decoders with a rating of 40 V are at risk with blue transformers.

The nominal voltage is 230 V AC in Europe. Old blue transformers are dangerous for digital transformers even at 220 V.

Grey transformers made for 230 V like the 66471 are safe for digital decoders in Märklin H0 locos.
