I recently picked up a Double-Slip switch off of ebay, but it needs some serious work with re-wiring.
I cant find any wiring diagram anywhere on the internet.
Im hoping someone here can lend me a hand with a printed picture.

Its labeled 5126 on the bottom plate...

Hi Steve

Here is the bottom of one of mine
3600 DKWS-IMG_4380.JPG
and the top with 2 x 2 blue wires for solenoids and 2 x yellow wires for bulbs and solenoid hot common.

At the time solenoids were powered by 20 VAC (Green) while bulbs were with 16 VAC (Yellow) but at the time 1951, Märklin switched to double solenoids like the unit shown here
Now your answer:
In all cases, the wire coming from the lamp is yellow (and separate from the solenoids)
If your unit is with 2 double solenoids, then the "common hot wire" is yellow and going out near the solenoids
If your unit is with 2 single solenoids with ratchet mechanism, then the "common hot wire" is green and going out near the solenoids
The early name of the unit was 3600DKWS and its late name (from 1957) 5128. This is your unit produced only between 1957 and 1958
I hope this sort of answers your question

Mine looks just like yours in every detail.
On the bottom it is marked as 5126 on the metal plate. I havnt been able to take the plat off either.
I have 1 yellow wire near the bulb and 1 yellow wire opposite the other.
I have 2 blue wires for each for each switch, 4 all together.
whoever had this switch cut all the wires near the base of the unit, for Im going to have to get some 28 gauge wire and redo the connections.

I think there are screws under the plate to remove so to take off the plate
On my first picture you may see threaded spacers for screwing the plate.
Accessing the solenoids is by removing the small hood above it which is screwed (2 small screws on top between the hood and the rails (see second picture).

Im getting up some nerve to take the screws off the plate on the bottom base.
Hopefully I will be able to see the wire solder points where I can replace the old cut wires.
Ill try and let you know.
