I am looking to sell a couple of my 3015s and wanted to determine what year they were made but I must be color blind because they all look the same color to me  . I thought a different approach may be to determine when they were made based on their couplers. Well, I struck out again  and am turning to the experts that have helped me in the past to provide some insight. They both have the Handschalthebel (external hand lever) for reversing so believe they are pre-1971.There are two I am working with and have included numbers#1 and #2 in the pictures to differentiate them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for looking  JD

You should send some photos from the current pick-up shoes so we can see the bottom part of these 3015’s. Also photos from complete locos would be great.
3015 were made in three versions. From 1959 to 1964 ”blaugrün” color. From 1965 to 1975 ”tannengrün” color with silver color roof. From 1976 to 1978 it was actually a 3915 ”build kit”.
So I think your 3015’s must be those versions from 1959 to 1964 as they have manual reversing levers. But please send more photos of them.

Definitely identification cannot be made on removable things
My Koll says:
1- 1947 CCS800 (1947) Body Dark green, Roof grey, mushroom pickups, rectangular handrails, type 4 overhead pickups (Trolley-like)
2-1947 Same but with type 4.1 overhead pickups (copper contact)
3- 1948-1949 Same but olive green
4- 1950 Same but w.large sanding boxes
5- 1951-1953 Same but round Lamp protections, lamp change from outside, current pick-up by skis Type 5 pantographs (smaller no copper sleeve but nickeled one)
6- 1954 Same but CCS writing in silver
7- 1955 Same but dark green roof silver-grey
8- 1956 Same but CCS 800 not painted
9- 1957-1958 Same but Relex couplers
10- 1959-1964 Same but body blue-green, adherence tires
11- 1965-1975 Same but "Tannen-Grün" Siver roof

another way to try and set a time frame might be to look inside the boxe' hidden areas where they might have printed the date the box was made.
I don't recall when they started doing this though. Are the boxes still in good condition that they cann allow you to open them up ?

Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it! In follow up: 1) I have 2 - 3015 boxes and 4 - 3015s locomotives and am not sure which box goes with which loco. They are dated 3/68 and 1/65 so must go with other locos seeing that the external switches were added only from 1959 through 1964. Right?. 2) Janne, thanks for the translation and while it didn't shed any light on the age of the 2 - 3015s in question, it did help me date my CCS 800 as a 1956 model. Thanks again. 3) I have added some more pictures of the 2 locos and would really appreciate it if the community can take another look at them to help determine what year they were made. As a prize to whoever comes up with the answer I will give them my 1956 CCS 800! Just kidding. No, really, just kidding!  Thanks for looking. JD

I didn’t list CCS 800 versions as you asked for 3015 versions. As both of your 3015 have manual reversing lever I say they are the first 3015 versions. Or otherwise written version 10 from 1959 to 1964.
