Hello everyone,
I am looking for a exploded diagram of Marklin Hamo 8356 Steam Locomotive with part numbers. Would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Well if it's this one....

https://www.ebay.co.uk/i...-DB-Livery-/233510613086

... there are a few anomalies with it;

1: The photos of the Loco itself are not very clear, like a low resolution copy of a copy, just does not seem quite right - is it even a Marklin model?
2: There is no marking (Railroad, Road number etc) on the Cab sides - that's odd
3: The driving wheels are missing the rods and the wheels are out of quarter
4: Whats shown in the bag is also unclear, might not even be for this loco
5: The box image is very clear on the other hand, but only the label. if the Loco was in this box, it's incorrect. Would it even fit? - pity the images do not show it in the box or the box insert

And again, if it's the same listing (going by the exact text "Vintage Marklin Hamo Steam Locomotive 8356 in DB Livery" the description holds some warnings....

"This listing is part of a collection which was purchased from an elderly HO enthusiast who had collected sets, carriages and locomotives for over 45 years. He informed me that most of the equipment was used rarely and mostly only displayed, except for the very old (pre 2000) items.

Some of these items are 40 years old and were purchased in the old West Germany and East Germany - true vintage collectibles.

I have not run these items myself. This item is NOT returnable!"

So the seller has acquired these items and is now selling them off pretty much "as is, where is".

Of course if it's not the same listing, you'll need to post some photos of what you actually have for comment but the insert (cardboard or styrene) for a Crocodile Box is very definitely different to that for a Steam Loco box.

Maybe it is a type error it could be a 8396 .
That is a BR86 steamlok.
There is no exploded view or sparepart list. But then you can revert to the 3096 on the marklin website.

I wouldnt buy this lok from ebay... much to risky!

Hello All,
As Juhan/Steve rightly pointed out, the so called Marklin Hamo 8356 was in fact a dud non Marklin ( No visible marks/numbers ) steam locomotive.
To make a long story short, I took it up with the shipper/Resolution center and got a full refund and also got to keep the locomotive which of course is a piece of trash. Incidentally this bloke is not a member of this forum.
Regards...Shelton
