Received an email today from Buckingham Palace, her majesty the Queen has honoured me with an award because of my commitment to the model train hobby, her grandchildren all have model trains and I was chosen many years ago to be the sole supplier to the Royal household.

Isn't Her Majesty self isolating due to Charlie having Covid-19....?
As Peter says, Nice try John (but ultimately you're found out....)!
And it is April the first, but well after midday here (but maybe not in WA)....

Lol - but it does bring to mind a story I read some time ago hinting that there was something of a model railway in Buckingham Palace, possibly an interest of young Prince Charles? This is all I found from a quick google search but I'll see if I can find the article https://www.ianvisits.co...less-model-tube-station/ |

I sent the grandkldlets outside to look for Easter eggs this morning. Around theee hours later they came back in complaining that they couldn’t find any. I just said “April fool”. |

I can remember reading in the Railway Modeller, probably late 1950's, of a presentation being made to the queen of an OO diesel locomotive during a visit to a factory. I would imagine it is still sitting in a cabinet somewhere in Buckingham Palace.
