Howdy folks,
I need to open up the box of my 18VA transformer (the small gray one), there is a loose screw or something in it that can get pretty dangerous. Does anyone know how to do the job?
It looks like I have to insert a screwdriver through the rectangular small openings on the back but I'm not sure.

If it's the grey 66191, it's "drill out" like on the 6021 etc. ( Drill small hole, screw a small screw into the hole and pull out - they sit really tight compared to 6021 etc. ) I also tried the square holes; but to no success. Per. |

Thanks for the reply Per!
Yeah, I figured the small circles on the sides were what holds the cover together (extermely stupid design I must say). I just had to drill them, the loose part turns out to be a broken plastic part so, harmless, but got rid of the funny noise it made. All good!

Cem, there is a reason for this why you shouldn't or can't open the transformer, it has a main voltage, just think if anybody could open the transformers there would be far less modeller around and this is why so many explorers couldn't finish their exploration and curiousness, they perished unfortunately. There was once a man who asked for advice how to remove an annoying post in the middle of the kitchen and the advice was: simply remove it, we never found out how he got on, I think it was his last supper John |

There was some broken or loose part in it, it could be metal, and could get really dangerous. So I really had to open it up. Well, I finally did but ... it wasn't plugged in Turns out it was a broken plastic part. Problem solved C.
