Hi there,

Today I came across an RS66 locomotive with 2 passenger coaches + 1 baggage car (all short green with opening/sliding doors). They were so well-preserved I thought it might be a reissue.

Checking on the net for its value; I've seen prices ranging from EUR60 to EUR600.

Does anyone have an idea about the real value of this lot?

Hi Cem,

"RS66" does not describe the model fully. At least the five following numbers are needed to identify the model.

I think it was something like 12900. I'm sure it had 129 but the rest I don't remember fully.

Hi Cem,

A very good -near mint- RS66/12910 would sell around EUR 300 today. For the coaches also more informations are needed. Märklin produced a wide range of passenger-cars for every budget in the 1930s.

Here we go! The cars were the one on the left; platforms on both ends and opening doors. The baggage car had the exact same roof like the passenger cars and had a sliding door.
