Well, I went all the way from Ipswich to Peterborough (95 miles) only to find that the A14 was closed the other side of Cambridge so had to do a large detour in both directions. Found that you have to buy a catalogue for £1.00 so not part of the ticket price. Given how many railways on show and how many traders that made it a necessity. Still on my motorised wheelchair, I could whip around so I did without.

There were some nice layouts on show include a 1m gauge German layout using Bemo stuff that was very nice.

Apart from that it was all UK (one little On30). There was a really great O Gauge Hornby clockwork and three rail scale 'carpetbahn'. It must have been fun setting that u for the weekend.

Market Deeping club (remember them for the trashing of their show) is making a layout in a weekend to be presented to a children's charity and there was a very nice Thomas set up.

Scograil were there selling Roco/Fleischmann, etc. but he doesn't stock Marklin (can get it but only from Gaugemaster). I had to pay him for three SBB coaches that I picked up in his shop yesterday.

Worth going? Not really.

Glad I didn't go then. I had been considering attending. Like you it would have been a decent drive for me.

David, Rev up the wheelchair and head for Biggleswade. If you set off now you'll just be in time for Trains@Trinity on 11th July. I'm intending to display there and encourage a few Marklin mates to come along too. IanC

You could have go through beautiful town of St Ives BigGrin (where I live) and then less beautiful Huntingdon Flapper to save on jurney.

I did a detour that ended up by me coming through St. Ives. I go to your town every year to the Brampton IPMS scale model show at the leisure centre.
