I have found that my krok and some SBB coaches do not like going through a switch back - a quick right and then left on R2s - at over step 85 on my ECoS. I would like to put up an 80kph limit sign before the curve. What would this look like - SBB or DB, either way?

David,

Here is a start:

And here is the main page:

Unfortunately he does not have SBB signalling, but I will bet someone does somewhere Smile

The information is great - a rectangular white plate with black border and the speed limit shown as 1/10th - 8 = 80kph. Any idea of the dimensions as these aren't mentioned?

David,

From this (which is albeit for earlier eras) but I think the standard did not change much, which has has some dimensions (but not all):

https://www.themt.de/org-0510-49.html

generally it seems to be sign top to bottom 50 cm (20")/87 (and side to side for a square sign)

And height from ground 1,75 meters, although I have also seen 2,0 meters mentioned (80"/87) as a safety measure so that workers do not run into a sign on a pole and cut their head.

Hope this helps a wee bit.
