Hello Tom,

Both! We can't get plonk from our supermarkets - thanks to some law from the 1930s. So we miss out on the opportunity to sample Chateau ALDI...

Received my Insider package 06/2019 today. Indeed, very interesting informations about the new TEE Insider model. The MM is a must again. New articles for using a CS 3. Explaining and technique about how to set up a shadow train station.

Congrats Wolfgang for getting that so quickly! I looked online and and found the latest Insider Mag and read the articles.

I have been really hoping for some boring "same olds" that I could easily not buy. BigGrin I will have to look more carefully at that Insider TEE train, which I am not familiar with at all. My first impression is that it is not very pretty, but then I thought that about my VT 11.5 which is now one of my most favorite trains. ThumpUp

Regards,
Jim

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

Electric and "environmental friendly", but without a heater they are a quite cold in the winter, so they have installed diesel heaters ;)

I usually receive the insider magazine around the same time as steventrain.

Looks like you will be waiting for a while longer. No trucks are going west as a fire has cut off access to the highway west from the Eyre peninsula.. Better stock up on the tinned food too..

Very true. Although snow can be sometimes a more dangerous event as a fire (@xxup: well, meanwhile I got my winter tires on my car Smile - but at the moment we do not have very much snow in Europe).

But what is going on in Australia, is a real big desaster. Scared Sad Also the danger and smell of smoke is a very burdensome result, which you cannot escape, still over weeks after the fire has been extinguished.

Well, my envelope finally arrived today....a little roughed up (like the NZ Cricketers) .... Huh

My membership renewal normally arrives in late January or even February.

We are thinking of our 'cousins' across the ditch......and hoping this weekend isn't as bad as some of the forecasts suggest.

My Insider pack 06/2019 arrived on Thursday (9th). I suspect the bush fires in the West Island may have caused some delays.

Still, if that's my biggest problem then I'm OK, other folks in Oz are loosing their homes and everything else in the fires. Hope there is rain on the way to help.

I know what you’re thinking Steven. I’m better of spending on a nice book, even if it’s foreign language as the text in the Marklin magazine is mostly waffle and the pictures are a bit dull. Also virtually nothing on readers layouts. Something which I buy the Hornby magazine for!!!

The value of belonging to the Insider Club is always worth investigating.
The magazine honestly is a bit wasted on me, because there is little of interest.
Insider Club News is fine but I can get that online, so why the printed material?

The magazine honestly is a bit wasted on me, because there is little of interest.
Insider Club News is fine but I can get that online, so why the printed material?

Just because, its Mother Maerklin.

Insider package for 01/2020 arrived today.

Cover of the magazine has the new Big Boy on the front, and an English version of the new Items catalog is included in the pack.

Still 2 weeks time to order the new Insider model.BigGrin
The reduction of the order time forces Maerklin to sent out its Insider packages more on time. Good for the foreign Insiders.ThumpUp

Issue 01 of 2020 hit the letter box yesterday 17 Feb but when I decided to go out & check we had had some rain & the Insiders section was wet around the edges along with a badly torn envelope . Looks like a sunny day today so I will put it all out on the back deck & let it dry off .

Cheers Tom in Oz .

My envelope for 01/2020 was quite ripped and torn around the edges and felt a bit damp, but the contents inside were dry. I've put up a new mailbox in which the complete insider envelope can be put inside so it is protected from the weather. Seems it is doing its job!
