Adelaide Railway Station, 1903 (approx) ..the view across the busy yards showing the new three spanned platform roofs in construction. Parliament House, Government Printing Office, SA Hotel, and the City Baths can be seen. The sheds, on the left, are where the carriages 'sleep'

Just a question.
Do you think it is overmuch requested, if you can do a picture from this station, from the same point of view as it looks like today - 116 years later? Would be very interesting to me. Thanks.

Where you now see the cars on the right hand side has all been built over with highrise buildings the main one being the New Entertainmant centre then coming back towards the fron of the picture are other high rise buildings. Will try to find an other picture showing how it looks today but there wont be much of the railway station to see.

Here you go from a slightly more from the right along the bridge as from the original phot but this sows ow it changed in 116 years.
as it looks today _o.jpg
On the left you can see the entertainment/convention centre and in the middle is the road leading to the railway station. Hope this shows what you asked for.

Here's a view from Google earth that shows what's there now (although it is 3D rendered), but it should give you an idea.

Basically the platforms have disappeared below the buildings.

Although the station has been brought back to its 20's splendour with the old cafe now in the process of being renovated to its former glory. Sorry can't add the article from the local newspaper as it is subscribers onlyCursing Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing
