Hi,

My 39674 MFX loco stopped moving one day. It's making the right noises, just not going anywhere. I tried deleting and re-registering on my CS3, but it didn't help.

What could cause this? And how do I fix it?

Thanks

Have you checked for disconnected joints on the drive shafts?

If they ore ok, then its most likely the decoder or the motor.

Hi,

I haven't had the top off, but I just tried to spin the driven wheels and I definitely can't move them. I'm pretty sure this is a software fault.

Thanks

I've reset the loco completely now, and tried running it with sounds off. Can't here anything. It's not even trying...

Try to pull off decoder from the PCB and put back again.
Make sure locomotive does not have power on the track.
It´s possible decoder defaults.

I've just taken it all apart, measured the motor got power as well. I took the base out and the driveshafts off, and the motor started spinning. I am now trying to get the driveshafts back on, which is not easy!

It's running again, no idea what went wrong.

Spent an hour trying to fit the coupler spring though, and lost it in the end. Not sure it's worth buying a new one, if I can't actually fit it.

Thanks
