HI,

Just opened up a new loco, 36333 Ee 3/3 SBB switcher , and the rear telex coupling is malfunctioning.
It will not hold the consist coupling hook when pulling away forwards.
The little vertical pin in the coupling just flops around. If I take the loco and hold it vertical and lightly tap the coupling on a pad, the pin will then lock properly. But it fails again right after use.
The front coupling works flawlessly.
This loco was about a year late in delivery, perhaps M had problems with this new coupling?
Any thoughts?

Best Regards,
Don

I have a few of those fat couplers on my locos and many have failed or they simply won't hold a batch of wagons.. I just cut the wires and install normal close (or relex for older wagons) couplers.. One day, there might be a more useful coupler on the market. In the meantime, I plan to install some m-track uncouplers, when I get around to setting up the shunting area properly..
