Another wonderful place will bite the dust, like many other have done in the passing years... So my dear friend Lothar Rest in Peace...I am sure you are with trains up in the Heaven... Ingrid, Nina please accept my condolences... m.u. |

Your stories involving the layout are one of the best part of this hobby, i.e., put some 'life' inside it...
Thanks for them!

Walter Hi Walter, There is life going under those catenary wires... ..though we cannot see them moving unless they are trains... ...if you look at a behind scene of a signal... ...even labels are meaningful... Cheers, mehmet |

Hi Walter, Unfortunately they are a bit too much delicate... When I give them a run, they are pretty willing to lose parts on the layout.. But they are really wonderful... Cheers, mehmet |

Oh boy, your collection is mind-blowing! I did not know that some of these models existed until I saw your posts. Some lame and and probably the questions which your 'fans' like me must be asking you, how big is your collection, how many analog and digital you have and what is the rolling stock count? If you have answered it in one of the last 72 pages, post the page/post number here, please Regards, Madhu

Most of them are analog or delta. Of course I do have very few digital ones. For example you cannot find Ludmillas in delta or analog. The total number of digital ones is not more than my fingers. Once I had started counting my wagons, but after reaching the number 2900, I lost the control. I would say around 3000. I am planning to count them sometime this summer. Thank you for your interest,too... Cheers, mehmet |

The numbers of these 6 wheel shunters (rangierlokomotives starting from 3078) produced by Maerklin might be staggering. Like the 3000 six wheeled steamer.
And I do not have an example of either.

Hi Mehmet, You were lucky when you bought this set because on nearly every loco I've seen so far, the yellow paint below the headlights does not cover the black one, but on yours, this issue seems to be minimal. I used to have a 28461 set as well, but the black paint under the headlights was too obvious, so I sold it again. Is there no black at all under the headlights of your loco? I'm intrigued by this question because I'd like to know if there is a 28461 Nohab with a perfect livery or not. I've often seen this set on Ebay, but usually sellers do not show the front sides in the photos. They know why ... Happy Easter to you! Best regards, Mark |
Best regards, Mark
I like Märklin items produced in the 1960s or early '70s, but also digital locos & current rolling stock. |

Cheers, mehmet At the risk of seeming contradictory, I see this as a minor blemish to what is a beautiful model in these colours. I have the 28524 set with this loco in the red and black and I have always intended to buy the 28461 set to compliment it. The painting error is hardly noticeable from normal viewing angles, and if necessary could be touched up with a little yellow paint. |
