China Narrow Gauge Steam Locomotive Train C2

This is Xingyang Brickworks Railway in China Henan. 21-22.February.2011

Unfortunately,This Railway was abolished in July 2011.

From the comments

"Great shot at the end. Bullet train whizzes past, over a modern bridge while the Chinese brick factory train chuffs away below. GREAT train driving (you rarely get to say that.....) love the way the driver does a half throttle clutch drop at the switching station."

Re: "flying shunt"
"They used to do that here in Australia on a private coal line and that was standard gauge. It made it so much easy and less steam locos were needed to be in steam.

They had an accident once where they changed a point but the siding had a train in it and the "on the fly" wagons piled up one on top of the other. So the crews afterwards went back to a more usual shunt until things had calmed down and a new boss came. The they went back to the "flying shunt" again.

Doing the "flying shunt" method of working meant that there was no need to have another loco in steam just for shunting."
