Hi,

Just check m* website: the 37849 is a one-time-series mfx, sound loco of DRG (not available from m* anymore) while the 37848 is mfx, sound DB version of the 37849 - no one-time-series and still available.

Hi Panayotis,
I have the same locomotive from a start set (29820)
and I am very fond of its running and pulling characteristics. It is a very well engineered model, with mfx and sound.
regards
Kimball

Hi,

I too have the one from the set, one of my favorites ... if you are into era III even IV and have a layout, this is a must have. Pulls really heavy load without complaining.

Panayotis hi,

You'll probably find the one from the set at about Euro200 - 230, I bought mine for 180 when it first came out.

I opted to buy a mint condition 3084, which I upgraded with a 60760 decoder kit. It is now super smooth and powerful and runs as well as my 37885 Br44.

I admit the detailing is not quite as good as the latest incarnations mentioned here, and the wheels are bright metal instead of darkened, but the total cost was < 100 euro.Smile It also has the Cab tender, which is my favourite!

Hi,

Any of the three will do I think ... but you should resolve the case depending on your era preferences.
