Watching a YouTube video put out in the middle 70’s on the safety of the DB at the time, the security systems in place and how they work ( signals, blocks, indusi magnetic system, sifa operator system, etc) and covered the workload of the engineers that drive the trains. It just strikes me so German that between two shift runs of a passenger train from München to Stuttgart and back, in the short lunch break they guy has he can hit the DB canteen for lunch and hurriedly eat it as they all sit there and also drink their lunch beer. I miss those times.

The Programm is only in German.

Reminds me of a British made documentary about the Mini factory here in Oxford. Some of the Mini workers went to BMW to train in their quality control manufacturing methods just after BMW bought up the Mini brand, and related stories of going to lunch with their BMW colleagues where beer was available in the canteen.
