Came across this video on YouTube of a guy (German language only) describing and demoing the BR103 and its various functions and showing what the inside and undercarriage all have in/on them.

There is something very tempting to getting this 14.4 lbs heavy guy, if only I had the room to run the scale.

Toys of tin and wood rule!

I don't have the room but that didn't stop me. See my photos of my 55105 in the 2019 Locomotives thread - post #22

I'm am fortunate that our club has a 1 Gauge Special Interest Group with modular layout, which we take to shows. Several other members also have layouts.

And yes, it is heavy!

I think my favorite of your photos is this one: Scales 1 - H0 - Z comparison

That locomotive is really impressive! The details inside the cab are also impressive.
I don't have the room and I also don't have some other requisites to run the scale, but it is really impressive and current Märklin items in Gauge 1 have all the bells and whistles.

Although the video below is not new and so that locomotive is not there, It is a great Gauge 1 layout. Pitty it is only in German language.

Best regards,
Miguel
