At the track test I calibrated the various acceleration, braking and maximum speed speeds, when I tested the locomotives on the braking modules, in forward and backward motion they made a little jerk at the beginning and then continued with the maximum speed set and therefore not They stopped.
I reset the decoders, then I tried to change the maximum speed, acceleration and deceleration, but the problem remains.
I have done many conversions as well as with 60760 even with many decoders mLD / 3 and mSD / 3, without any problem; is the third time that the decoder does not work well on the braking modules, because two other loco with the 60982, which presented the same problem, I sent them for repair at the Marklin and returned perfectly worked but they did not tell me what they did.
You do not hear the screeching of the brakes.
I inform you that I have the CS 1 60212 updated to 2.0.4 and it works great.
But maybe the CS 1 is not 100% suitable for these types of mfx decoder and can not load the various values of the CV ?????
Maybe I should try to change the values of a few CVs but reading the manual of 60987 I do not know what value of the CV should I insert to not make mistakes.
Who can help me without asking Marklin, otherwise I have to send the locomotive and wait 3 months.Mad
I used Google Translate I hope the translation is good.
Many thanks and greetings.

Hi Nonno Fulvio

The only thing I see is you need to leave the needed protocol and disable others (leave only MFX and MM2 Motorola active) so that the DC current generated by the braking module is correctly interpreted by the loco and triggers slowdown and brake noise.

I believe there is no incompatibility between your CS1 and these new decoders.

They understand a lot of protocols but not necessarily simultaneously.
Cheers

That is a possibility. The cs1 was designed around Marklins idea of what a user should be able to change instead of being a general use tool, so the possibility that it does not know what all the CVs are is quite a possibility.

Thanks for the answers.
Jean is not so practical with CV values, in the manual of 60987 I do not know what CV I have to change the value, this is the photo of CS 1 where you change the parameters, you could suggest what to set.
Thank you so much

Hi Nonno

The 60987 manual say CV 50 control the active protocols
- Bit0=1 (AC operation allowed
- Bit 1=0 (Analogue DC disabled
- Bit 2=0 (DCC disabled)
- Bit 3=1 (MFX Allowed)
Total Hex value is 9
Factory setting: 15H (all bits are set to 1
Note: protocol FX is always active
User's manual https://static.maerklin....6f726f61a11515411418.pdf

So in your diagram your enter 50 in (a) and 9 in (b) and then write
I hope this will help.
I also have a CS1 (60212) but I rekon it is not as convenient (not multi protocol, not colour) as a CS2 but still works
Cheers

Jean
