Hello Marklin Fans

i have just received a Le Capitole 3059 with silver spoke wheels and not solid black wheels
i have had the top off it and confirmed that it is the original base and motor for the 3059 as the number of teeth on the driving wheels are Z 22 the same amount of teeth on the black solid type driving wheels
Even the globe holders for the lights are the correct ones for the 3059 base
It hasnt been resprayed either
Can any one throw some light on these silver spoked wheels

Thanks
Allen

You would need to check Kolls to see what variations this loco came in, there could be one with silver wheels, or the wheels may have been replaced because it has been run on a layout.

Hi Allen,

Except for the wheels the motor - bogie (217810) of 3038 and 3059 is the same than at 3034, 3035, 3036, 3037, 3039 (216230) and many more which has spoked wheels and the same gears. Maybe someone liked the spoked wheels more than the solid ones. The interchange of the bogies is no problem.

Regards

Markus
