Can anyone help with info on this etched brass Kö I? Gauge or maker?
It is being stored between cardboard sheets in a Märklin envelope. Did Märklin ever make brass kits?
The opening in the brass sheet is 3.75" x 5.5".

Thanks -- Laurie

Hi Laurie,

This kit is made to build a Kö1 in H0-gauge. The model is about 5.5cms wide, if I calculated correctly. That is H0.

I don't know the manufacturer. Such models were also home-made or by people which only made one kit. But this should identify the manufacturer:

A hint for the production date is the envelope. The envelope shows already the new postal-code used in Germany from 1993. So I assume it is made in the 1990s.

Regards

Markus

I've got it figured out. I found a photocopy of a four page article from eisenbhan magazin about this specific kit. I think it was in January of 1982. The manufacturer is Josef Cramer. And you are right Markus, it is HO. Thanks -- Laurie
