To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the final operation of steam hauled services on British Railways Southern Region. The Swanage Railway Gathered together the largest collection of working Bulleid Pacific's since 1967.

This film covers the action from the 1st & 2nd of April. The trains running along the new track towards Wareham, are all top & tailed. Giving some spectacular performances, from these mighty machines.

One of these runs on the 1st of April saw 34070 Manston haul 5 coaches, and two other Bulleid's, as dead weight towards Swanage, putting 34092 City Of Wells (The Volcano) to shame.

Locomotives Featured:
34052 Lord Dowding (34046 Braunton)
34053 Sir Keith Park
34081 92 Squadron
34070 Manston
34092 City Of Wells
80104 Running as 80146

Glad you enjoyed it I certainly did just love the old steamers from any continent but these have a grace and charm unlike any others
