A question for the US fans:
Did the PRR GG1 ever pull the "Heavyweight"-style passenger cars?
Cheers,
Damon

When I googled your question, the first hit was a short thread on railroad.net entitled GG1 Passenger consists. The second response starts "Historically, you could also have your GG1 haul almost anything that ran between DC and NYP during the 1950's." (this includes heavyweights).

Thanks Jeroen.
I tried Google but gave up after 3 or so "consist" lists, which didn't specify the type.
Cheers,
Damon

In brief- absolutely yes! They pulled many a heavyweight, in particular in the PRR brown liveries. Not an uncommon consist at all. But speaking of which, there was no real consist for most these us trains in that era. Only the pinnacle streamliners were very consistent

Agreed.

The second post in the thread I mentioned above says "You can model your consist after mine. Tuscan red coachs etc. heavyweight with six wheel trucks, heavyweight observation with the porch on the back."

The PRR Clocker trains would have been a good example for GG-hauled heavyweight coaches:
