I will pay someone to inspect and repair my (approximately)1973 Marklin Sprint Car Set. It is composed of 4 cars about 30 feet of track 2 Sprint car transformers, and 1 lap-counter. I have no mechanical aptitude. It looks to be in good shape, barely used, just a little dated/tired. Please contact me; Jim Weitzul, at: Jweitzul@princeton.com

I hope we have some Sprint experts among our members in the US in your area who can help you.

I moved the post to the Märklin Sprint section, since we have one. Smile

Hello Jim,

Welcome to the forum.
I don't know if you're on facebook, but you might want to take a look at the Slot Racing Oldschool Club (group) with > 4,000 members and a lot of knowledge and expertise there too.

The biggest M Sprint club is the Swedish one, unfortunately no pages in English but you can contact them for advice.

translation into English:

Welcome to MSRC, the world's largest Märklin Sprint club

We dare say that we are probably the world's only Märklin Sprint club :)

Märklin Sprint was manufactured in 1967-1982. Subsequently, the production was completely abandoned. A little worth considering is that many of us have bandages, fences and, above all, cars that are currently between 37 and 52 years old. And most of it works!

Part of the club's ambition is to help maintain a functioning play and hobby, and many use us by sending their cars on service, buying spare parts and accessories, getting tips and advice on repairs, being on the hits, etc. .

Try the different tabs. Something interesting comes up safely. Send an email if there is something missing or if there are any concerns, and especially if it feels relevant to join the MSRC - Märklin Sprint Racing Club.

Most members are in Sweden but we have, and have had, members from all over the world;

Norway, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, USA, England, Argentina, Greece, Australia and New Zealand.

Here you can find a lot but not everything. We save the "goodbye" to our members. After all, there has to be something special about joining the club;) During SORTIMENT there is some information about things that have been manufactured. Under MEMBERSHIP there is information about how membership is subscribed. During SWAPMEET there are some attractive pictures from our meetings and information about the next meeting. During MEDIA one can click on to some reportage and film, as well as TV programs where the club has figured. Under TECHNICAL TIPS, there may be some useful for those who want to speed up their old clothes. Please take a look at BUY / SELL. There comes some interesting.

And during the HISTORY tab there are some facts about Märklin Sprint and how the club was formed.

Once again, welcome!

With heavy heart we also want to tell that our dedicated member and good friend Geir, no. 215, unfortunately

have left us. Geir died in mid-July 2016.

Geir was very active in MSRC and has been involved in all our club meetings in Limmared since 2004 ..

We got many laughs together and we will miss you and your generous personality. Rest in peace Geir!

Should read: Here you can find a lot but not everything. We save the "goodies" to our members. After all, there has to be something special about joining the club
