Just installed a new CS3+ as a Master with the previously operating CS2 now as a Slave and get the following message on the CS3+

"An overload situation has occurred at Device GFP-1 - Channel 2."

Does anyone know what "GFP-1 - Channel 2" means in English?

Thanks

GFP is 'Gleis Format Processor', i.e. the bit that drives the track. I don't know what it means when it says channel 2, maybe that is the programming track output.

Have you managed to plug your layout into the programming track output instead of the proper output?
