As you are shouting out that you are using port 5900 it is expected that you also have (installed) a VNC client on your PC

To use the VNC server on the CS3 you need to start it after every power on.
Once started, the client will be able to connect on port 5900 (provided it is on the same network)

Can't he just use the IP address without the port number?

I don't have one yet but from what I understand the CS3 stands up a very nice web server and most browsers will work just fine as clients. That makes it easy to add additional interfaces to the CS3 without dedicated software. Cool

Not sure wtf the all caps stuff is about though. BigGrin

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

That will , indeed, present a Home-page from where a number of functions can be found , including ...
- enabling the VNC server - for use with a VNC client
- start the CS3 webclient - a browser solution for any (major) platform that does not need a separate VNC client installed
- Loco icon management
- Screenshot - for recording images for documentation or service purposes
- Status etc.

If there was no change, did you try a different cable and/or reset the wifi router?

HI MINOK,

THE ONLY THING I CAN ADD IS THE ROUTER WAS TURNED OFF LAST NIGHT.

So then the question is, does the CS have an IP address assigned to it? I'd assume in the CS you can see if its gotten an IP address and what it is, and in the router you can see if there is a fixed IP address or DHCP assigned IP address (meaning the CS is connected up to the TCP/IP network LAN properly). Check that the CS is actually active on the LAN first, without that the http/vnc/etc higher level facilities won't work.

In the US we just got the latest digital news letter (PDF) that explains how to connect a CS3 via web browser, a beta test feature that came with the v 1.3.3 update to the CS3 family.

I've attached it to this post here: 20180704-update_1_3_3_info-04 Englisch.pdf (760kb) downloaded 33 time(s).

It mentions a sequence in powering on things, which could be the problem:
1) Router on
2) Then master CS3 on
3) then other devices on.

HI ALL,
THANKS, YES THE IP ADDRESS IS EASILY READ FROM THE CS3.
THANK YOU MINOK FOR TAKING TIME TO PROVIDE ALL THESE DETAILS AND THE VERSION 1.3.3 UPDATE info.
I HAD PREVIOUSLY UPDATED TO THE LATEST VERSION A WEEK AGO AND HAVE NO ISSUES THUS FAR.

Then we need to look at more fundamentals:
IP address of he CS
IP address of the computer
Netmask of the LAN

This way we can verify the 2 are on the same LAN.
