I am trying to find out the value of my TW 66 / 12940 ( See Avatar photo)
It is in excellent condition and it works perfectly. There is also a box for it but not in great shape.
I am just trying to figure out what it may be worth. I checked various sites including eBay but cannot find anything on it.
Thank you.

I look forward to your suggestions as for it's value in $US .

Paul Deardorff CCS800KrokHunter3 Offline should be able to give some guidance here, he's a regular so probably in the next day or two.

Nice Loco but hard to see - how about posting better (larger/clearer) image/s? Drool Drool ThumpUp

Thank you for your comment, much appreciated. I will add close ups of this TW66 in my album. I took about 8 photos of it from different angles including the under carriage.
I am not familiar on how to add images to this post.
So, the system here will not let me change my avatar to show my TW 66.
I was able to create a new album with several photos of this WT66.
Perhaps you can see it there ?

Hi,

Even in very good condition with box I would estimate it below 1K USD. If you sell it you can be lucky to get +1k. If you want to buy it I would try to get it below 750 USD.

Two recent results of trains which are not in perfect condition:

Markus

Thank you Markus. I looked at the eBay page, that TW looks in bad shape. The one I have is pretty nice and it functions nicely. But it is good to get the opinions of experts here and I thank you all for that.

I agree with Markus' estimations. The locos that were posted from eBay are comparable, although I think OP's is in better condition as he stated. The first one linked does have all of its wheels replaced which is common... my TW 66 had a few wheels with chips and cracks and so they are often replaced by replicas. With original box I would say $700 - $800 USD would be reasonable. Another big difference is the 2-piece trains vs 3-piece train, the 3-piece of course being worth a bit more.

Best,

Paul
